CONTINUING EDUCATION UNIT (CEU) WORKSHOPS
The NEW Ethics &Core Workshop dates for 2025 have been released.
State of Georgia Reminders:
Remember that 35 hours is required biennially to renew your license.
The five (5) ethics hours must be synchronous.
A maximum of (10) hours of continuing education may be obtained asynchronous.
For the remaining CE hours (30) hours, a minimum of fifteen (15) shall be core hours and not more than fifteen (15) shall be related hours
Core hours shall be obtained through (20 hours) synchronous and (10 hours) asynchronous
If you have more than 5 hours of ethics, additional ethics workshop hours can be counted as Core CE hours in the biannual licensing period.
State of South Carolina Reminders:
A minimum of 40 clock hours of social work-related continuing education is required biennially (every two years) when you renew each license.
A minimum of 20 hours must be specifically provided by a trained social worker- a person with a BSW, MSW, or a doctorate degree in social work.
A minimum of 20 of the 40 clock hours (January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026) by taking graduate-level academic social work courses or participating in social work training within Board parameters, regardless of whether or not you were licensed as a social worker at that time, can be used to meet Continuing Education requirements.
